Shield cut has the consistent height of roughly 5/8", in the cut length of 5". Shield cut in 5" is the single most popular feather length and cut in traditional archery. Shield cut has slightly more surface area compared to parabolic cut, which will make arrows fletched with shield feathers a touch more stable in flight than those fletched with parabolic cut feathers. Parabolic cut is a little bit quieter in flight as wind has less surface area to grab on too. Available in Left Wing or Right Wing in colors Traditional Barred, Yellow Barred, Red Barred, and Orange Barred. Sold by the dozens or the 100s. Please specify. What Wing Feather to Shoot? It is an old belief that Right handed (RH) shooter must shoot Left wing (LW) so the arrow spins away from the riser on release. This is not the case. I have tried feathers from others, but none are as consistent in color and manufacturing as TruFlight. These Camo feathers are perfect for my XX78 Super Slams.

I saw these on the Website last week and decided I had to have them. They are different so I ordered 2x dozen of tha tradition camo and 1x dozen of the Orange camo. The shipping was fast I ordered on Thursday and Got them on Saturday on the standard shipping method. They made my Easton Gamegetters look awesome when I added the FL-Orange Tiger cap wrap. The only issue I had was… read more with the coloring on the Traditional Camo, one side looked loike the picture above but the other side was really dark almost all black. I got the RW feathers so it was the side with the lip that was dark. the orange ones were fine, it may have been the batch some on my traditional barred feathers looked the same way and that is on Tru-Flite. But I really do enjoy these feather and I just saw the parabolic ones and I may get those for my Compound!

Yes. Left and Right wing feathers have a natural curve depending on the side and so do the jigs. If you use a left wing jig with right wing feathers you will be going against the natural curve of the feather which will create issues when time to fletch. Most right handed shooters traditionally prefer Left wing feathers but honestly it makes absolutely no difference in my opinion. Just make sure you use the same side Jig with the corresponding feathers. Good Luck!
