A bit over priced and heavy, BUT more i shoot more I like
Cons - Rather heavy, (I have 21 in riser) fit and finish could be better at this price point. Likes, - very quiet, accurate, easy to point and shoot. The more I shoot the more I like it. I almost returned this at first but kept with it and now very much like it.
Very nice bow with endless limb possibilities
I wanted a takedown bow that I could changes limbs if needed. I learned my lesson with my Buffalo, it's limbs are discontinued. I liked the idea of the limbs solidly mounted when unstrung so I chose the Das mount. There are plenty of ILF hunting grade limbs out there to be had at very reasonable prices. I ordered the 45# bamboo recurve limbs and they shoot great. I ordered… read more the copper riser and put brown copperhead limbsations on the backs and it looks really good while breaking up the solid black limbs in the woods. I really like the bow and hunted with it this last season. It was easy to set up and tune, and is very accurate. I only have two complaints: finding a good quiver for it has been costly and the bump on the shelf is too short. I've tried a hex light, a tight spot, a kwickee, an alpine, all leave a lot to be desired. I really wish there dedicated hole drilled and tapped in the riser just for a quiver. The GN Das version is an afterthought. The only quiver I have that works well is a Selway slide on. Works great but I wanted to be able to have a detachable quiver to make transport easier when the bow is broken down. Now the bump on the shelf...it's too short. The cut away section on the outside for clearance is cut too much. I shoot off the shelf, the bump is there to shoot off, but with the strike plate set where it needs to be leaves very little for the arrow to rest on. The arrow will not stay on the shelf hanging in the stand and requires an ugly stick on arrow holder to keep it in position ready to go. I cant the bow when I shoot, so it works shooting. It's the only bow I have that has this issue. That is the biggest issue I have with it. Maybe one day I'll find and arrow combo that will allow me to run the strike plate in enough to get back some shelf, but it should be made to have enough to use if your settings are closer to center. In my mind, the lack of usable shelf defeats the purpose of the adjustable side plate.
This is by far the best bow I have ever had
I have been shooting this bow now for about six months. I had several lower end take down recurves before but had no idea how smooth a bow could be. I'm using the 21 inch riser with 45lb recurve limbs. I have cat whiskers on it and it is ridiculously quiet with 0 hand shock. The thing I love about this bow is that I can adapt it to what ever I want it to be. It is really helping… read more me find MY archery, how I like to shoot and what makes the sport enjoyable for me. I can experiment with different limb sizes, grips, shoot off the rest, use a plunger, add stabilizers, just about anything. If I want to go Olympic, I can do that. If I want to hunt or shoot 3d, I can do that too. It seems to be largely unaffected by the weather or anything for that matter.
Awesome
I shoot the 17" riser with 55lb long bow limbs... The bow draws smooth.. no hand shock.. shoots where I'm looking.. I like being able to adjust the rest.. I'm shooting a bare shaft straight at 30 yards....can't wait to hunt with it..
Great product
good product everything they say it is , finish on limbs not the best and rubber washer on thumb screws cracking bow is only two weeks old. other than that i am happy with it. like that i can adjust poundage.
I like te way this bow shoots
I really enjoy the way this bow shoots. Being able to adjust tiller and draw weight is great. I got the carbon foam limbs and they are very smooth. The paint on the limbs have orange peel in them. It looks like someone sprayed them with a rattle can. The limb buts were rubbing the riser. I had to sand them to keep them from rubbing. Other than that I love the bow.
One sweet shooting recurve
Best recurve I have ever shot.
Simply The Best
Got my bow and it was quickly set up and ready to shoot. Took advantage of the multi.Tuning the bow lets you do and have it set up to shoot my arrows fast and straight. Was able to take it and place 2nd in my first tournament with it. I only see myself getting better and better with little tweeks and adjustments. Best Bow on the Market!
The Best Modern Recurve Bar None
I bought this bow after reading the reviews and after seeing David Soza and Rod Jenkins using it on the Barebow DVD's (great DVD's by the way, I've got them all). This is the most accurate, powerful and ease to use and adjust modern bow on the market today. I've picked the 60" version with a 17" lost camo riser and the black foam limbs powering 45lbs on 28" draw. Great value… read more for money.
Great Bow
I have been shooting and making bows for over 30 years. I just got a new Das and I love it. I love the ability to adjust the bow and get it the way I like it. I can even adjust the weight some. It is very well made and came all set up and ready to go from 3 Rivers. I wish there were a few more choices for handles though. Great shooter!! Lots of limb choices to work with. 17" DAS riser with long limbs would make a 62" bow thats a good setup for your draw.
A lot of it comes down to personal preference. However, I would recommend the foam core medium limbs on a 17" riser. This would give you a 60" bow that I feel would be adequate for your draw length. It would equate to a smooth pull without loosing speed. If you want to discuss further, just give us a call.

Yes , we can get you a replacement rest .
We do have 17" DAS risers in both ILF and DAS connection in black anodized riser in stock . Give us a call and we can hekp you get the riser you are looking for . 260-587-9501 .
You will need a 58" string for a 62" bow.
I personally like the 62 to inch length. This will give you a longer working limb for more performance and a smoother shooting bow.
You will be about 2-3# shy of what the limb is at 28" so I would go with 50# and you will fall right in that 45-48# range
With 50lbs@ 27in you will be at 48lbs. You can also adjust the poundage up or down 2lbs. So your range will be 46 to 50lbs. With the 45lb limbs you will be at 43lbs with the ability to adjust to 45. So either will work. I would get more opinions though.
I would recommend a 15" riser and 60" limbs.
I would go with the 15 inch riser 60 inch limbs
We only offer the riser in Black as of now.
The best way to pick your limbs is to get twice as long as you draw length at a minimum then you will have the smoothest performance. I always say the longer the bow the better
