The atlatl was one of the earliest tools that helped elevate humans to the top of the food chain. Now Yumi Archery allows you to connect with those ancient times using their quality raw bamboo atlatl dart shafts. Yumi Archery has harvested these Yadake bamboo shafts at just the right age. They are... dried and cut to measure from 69" to 72" long. All you need to do is heat straighten, fletch, and add atlatl dart points to them. Sold by the each. Product of the USA. Read more about heat straightening in Kay and Jaap Koppedrayer's Making Bamboo Arrows book. See our full selection of Atlatl gear.

Too thin to be usable.
As stated the 3 bamboo darts were too thin to use. The narrow end measures less than a quarter inch and the thick end was 3/8 of an inch.
With this being naturally grown bamboo, there is no consistency in the diameter. Your best bet is to get your shaft and see what you are dealing with.
