Put some extra "sting" in your shots with 3Rivers Yellow Jacket Wood Arrows. These attractive wood arrows are made using sturdy 11/32" Port Orford Cedar shafts (30-35# are 5/16"). They are hand-spined to be matched within 5 pounds and weight matched to 20 grain groups per set. Each arrow has a s...pecial Black Walnut stain sealed with a durable polyurethane finish for longevity and a brilliant look shot after shot. The clear cap dip and cresting is done by hand for a "true" custom look and feel. 3Rivers Yellow Jacket wood arrows are then mounted with a black Bohning Classic nock and 3-fletched with 5" Shield cut left wing feathers. A natural barred cock feather flanked by two yellow Trueflight hen feathers. 30-35# and 35-40# feature 4" fletchings. Available in the following spines: 30-35, 35-40, 40-45, 45-50, 50-55, 55-60, 60-65 and 65-70#. Sold full length at approximately 32" and need to be cut and tapered, then points installed or broadheads mounted to be ready for shooting. I draw a short 26in. on a 35 lb bow so I need a light spline arrow. These are the only 11/32 shaft I can find in this range.

I purchased a set of these arrows for my recurve bows that have a draw weight of 40 #. I had recently purchased a set of Harvester wood arrows and posted comments about those arrows. I selected the Yellow Jacket for my bows that have a different draw weight. My first attempt at making wood arrows in the early 70's were similar to the Yellow Jacket arrows. I was not able to complete… read more making those arrows back then due to dad having that linseed oil incident in the wood shop that also prevented me from making anything else. i am very happy with the Yellow Jacket arrows from Three Rivers. Upon arrival and inspection the arrows were straight, weight matched and well crafted. Feathers were also perfect in look and flight characteristic. The Bohning classic nock made nocking and release smooth and consistant.
